We want to give Vigan more room than a checklist of landmarks. The guide connects heritage houses, streets, food, crafts and celebrations so visitors can understand the city while deciding how to spend their time.
The website is an Ilokano project by Jasper Espejo ↗, a web developer based in Vigan. The stories and practical guides are published under VIGANCITY.PH.
How the guides work.
Our articles link to sources where useful and distinguish a typical festival season from a confirmed programme. Opening hours, prices and visitor access can change, so confirm important details with the place or organiser before travelling.
Some current images are clearly labelled illustrations used while documentary photography is being prepared. They should not be read as photographs of a specific venue or event.
